Tiger Shroff Unveils Andheri(W) Sculpture by artist Rouble Nagi

The bustling city of Mumbai received a remarkable addition as Andheri West, one of the city's prime locales, unveiled a striking sculpture at one of its busiest railway stations. Conceptualised by esteemed MLA Ameet Satam hailing from the Andheri West Constituency, and brought to life by renowned artist, social worker, and author Rouble Nagi, the #Andheri(W) sculpture symbolises the dynamic development of this vibrant neighbourhood over the past decade. In a gesture highlighting the convergence of art, community, and cinema, actor Tiger Shroff unveiled the #Andheri(W) sculpture in presence of artist Rouble Nagi, MLA Ameet Satam, noted film producer Anand Pandit, and ace filmmaker Ashoke Pandit.

The sculpture, strategically positioned at the entrance of the station, will serve as a testament to the growth and cultural richness of Andheri West. Adorned with intricate imagery depicting iconic landmarks from the Andheri West area such as Gilbert Hill, the ISKCON Temple, Juhu Beach, and the beloved ‘I<3Mumbai’ selfie point, the sculpture encapsulates the essence of Andheri West's charm and diversity.

An extremely elated Tiger Shroff, delighted to see a huge crowd cheering him outside the Andheri West railway station, expressed, “I am indeed happy and honoured that I have been invited to inaugurate this beautiful sculpture #Andheri(W). I love Mumbai and I also love Andheri since I come here often for my shootings and rehearsals. I am very, very happy to be here today.”

Rouble Nagi, who took roughly two months to finish making the sculpture, expressed her excitement, stating, “Crafting this sculpture has been a labour of love. It's an honour to visually narrate the story of Andheri West, a lively suburb with an intense level of energy.” She further added, “Public art has always been about collaboration, between citizens, leaders, and artists. I am happy to create this sculpture - a selfie point for Andheri West, depicting the various spots to visit in the area. I believe the ‘hashtag’ movement brings people closer and educates them about public art.”

For the uninitiated, Rouble Nagi stands as an award-winning, internationally acclaimed artist with over 800 murals to her credit. Rouble is among the trailblazers who initiated Mumbai’s beautification through art installations across the city. Among her other notable works, she has earlier crafted numerous sculptures in Maharashtra, including #Bandra #Hajiali, #Thane, #Chembur, #Alibag, #Juhubeach, #Saibaba, I <3 Mumbai, among others.

Added Ameet Satam, “This sculpture is not just a work of art; it's a celebration of Andheri West's evolution and spirit. Mumbai, being an international city, has a very low open space ratio compared to other international cities, making it important to conserve and develop open spaces in the city. Also, the aesthetic appearance of the city is crucial in making it vibrant, which is why we have created the Golden Lotus, Vertical Butterfly Garden, I <3 Mumbai selfie point, and #Juhubeach. We are now adding the #Andheri(W) sculpture, which symbolises the development undertaken in Andheri West over the last 10 years.”

WASHINGTON, D.C., Feb., 10, 2024: “I seldom recognized why I was here for the time passed like a second. My life was too fast as if it was a legend,” wrote Dr. Rashmi Mayur prophetically in “Poetry of Life,” his last collection of writings, which he wrote while he was recovering from a stroke in Mumbai, India. On February 10, 2004, his life passed like a brilliant flash of light from here into the universe – perhaps on a more spectacular mission. In another context he wrote: “I am searching for new ways to find the future in the universe of tomorrow.”

Two decades have passed since Dr. Rashmi Mayur left this abode to be somewhere in his quest in this universe. While he was amongst us, he was ahead of his times. In the early 20th century. he was amongst very few, to have transcended borders to pursue his studies in the USA. After receiving his Ph.D. from the US, he never stopped his nomadic journeys all over the planet, talking about the Mother Earth. He frantically lectured all over the world about saving this Planet and the fleeting nature of human existence. He was a pioneer, a very early global advocate for Earth’s preservation - to talk about sustainability, pollution, population, food shortages and more. He knew Nature was an entangled web that we have to preserve if we have to survive on this planet.

Dr. Rashmi Mayur’s visionary insights resonate as we look at the state of the world today in the form of climate change, a consequence of human actions as manifested in wildfires, floods, cyclones and lots of extreme events causing huge losses of lives around the world. His early warnings, such as foreseeing conflicts over water echo in the current world’s challenges.

Dr. Rashmi Mayur’s dream was: “We can hope that what we do makes a difference, that we can build our Earth from our fondest dreams and visions.” He further urged in earnest, “Our purpose is to dedicate our lives to regenerating the Earth and building a new human order. A new Earthly order where every child – no matter where – will experience joyful existence, happiness in unity with the universe, and the ecstasy of being a pilgrim in the eternal march of evolution. If we devote our common energies to our common future, then we cannot fail to realize our hopes.”

Dr. Rashmi Mayur envisioned a harmonious Earth built on dreams for which he received numerous accolades. His poignant and compassionate words resonate today as a call to unite in safeguarding our only abode, our only home before we destroy it.

अदिकवि नन्नया विश्वविद्यालय, राजमहेंद्रवरम, आंध्र प्रदेश के XIII, XIV और XV समारोह समापन समारोह में, जो 31 जनवरी 2024 को हुआ, वहाँ पर आदरणीय आंध्र प्रदेश राज्यपाल, श्री सैयद अब्दुल नज़ीर जी, ने अंतरराष्ट्रीय टेबल टेनिस खिलाड़ी नैना जयस्वाल (हॉलटिकेट नंबर 17102001) को PhD डॉक्टरेट प्रमाणपत्र प्रदान किया। इस घडी में इंफोसिस फाउंडेशन की चेयरपर्सन सुधा मूर्ति को एक सम्माननीय डॉक्टरेट से भी सम्मानित किया।

गत वर्ष 2023, 31 मार्च को डॉक्टरेट परीक्षा का रिजल्ट घोषित किया गया था जिसका कनवोकेशन समारोह 31 जनवरी 2024 को किया गया| इससे पहले नैना जैस्वाल ने 8 वर्ष की आयु में दसवीं की परीक्षा पास की| 10 वर्ष की आयु में बारवी की परीक्षा पास की| 13 साल की आयु में पत्रिकारिका में स्नातक किया और 15 साल की उम्र में पोस्ट-ग्रेजुएशन (राजनीती विज्ञान)  करने वाली हिन्दुस्तान की पहली महिला बानी| 16 साल की आयु में पी.एच.डी में दाखिला लिया| 

वह टेबल टेनिस में नेशनल चैंपियन रह चुकी और साउथ एशियाई चैंपियन रह चुकी है| वर्तमान में वोह अंतराष्ट्रीय खिलाडी है| 

पिछले महीने वर्ल्ड टेबल टेनिस स्टार कन्टेंडर खेलस्पर्धा में भाग लिया| जो की गोवा में आयोजित हुआ था| इसी के साथ साथ दोनों हाथो से लिखती है जिसे हम अम्बीडेक्सट्रॉस कहते है| A-Z  दो सेकंड में टाइप करती है और रामायण के 108 मंत्र और गीता कंठस्थ है| और ये एक अंतराष्ट्रीय प्रेरक वक्ता है| अमेरिका, दुबई, ओमान और सिंगापुर जैसे देशो में अपने प्रेरणा दायक भाषण के लिए जानी जाती है|

यही नहीं, नैना जैस्वाल ने अपनी माँ भाग्यलक्ष्मी जैस्वाल के साथ मिलकर वकालत की परीक्षा पास की और अपने पिता, अश्वनी कुमार जैस्वाल के साथ वकालत के दाव-पेच की महारथ हासिल करने की तैयारी में है|
