I owe my existence to the theatre. If we observe closely - Bollywood, OTT and Television have been blessed by theatre artists. Much of the wonderful content that we see today on these electronic mediums have been crafted by theatre personalities. Numerous super-stars like Om Puri, Supriya Pathak, Nasser Sir, Radhika Apte, Pankaj Kapoor, Huma Quereshi, Deepak Dobriyal, Richa Chaddha, Saurabh Shukla, Lilette Dubey, Saurabh Shukla, Nandita Das, Raghubir Yadav, Kangana Ranaut, Anupam Kher, Nimrat Kaur, Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah, etc have begun their careers through theatre."

There is a lot of variety and difference in the same play when it is showcased in different parts of the country. Also, the language of the play also changes in various regions to suit the audiences. I strongly believe that it is the truest test of an actor as there are no retakes. I wish that the Indian Theatre audiences grow so that it again competes with Bollywood, Television and OTT content" said Sandeep Aanand.
