Left over debris was a paradise turning into nightmare of Tarique Garden, Mahad

5 storey building, a home of 45 families mainly NRIs, collapsed taking away lives of 16 people. A 6 year old building came down like pack of cards and changing beautiful homes of hopeful families into dust in few minutes.

As soon as Mr. Bimal Nathwani (presidential bravery Awardee) immediately a team was deputed from to Mahad for rescue operation under his leadership.

The team worked so as to  reduce the fatality. The team's first task was to remove people from the debris without harming people who were trapped.

Our task was not just to recover people trapped inside but also make sure to recover as much as we can and our one dedicated team was also looking for active gas cyclinders to make sure to identify gas leakage. The team was also looking to recover any important documents, Holy books, etc, whjch maybe both useful in identifying the people both alive or dead.

Our role as experts from various fields  was very different but we made sure to give  equal contributions as other authorities.

The whole experience left us with grave memories and painful marks. Our deepest  condolences to the  family who have been affected by this unwanted tragedy. While working we could not show our emotions nor could we sympathize for that would weaken us and that would affect our work. But we truly and deeply sympathize with all the families affected by this harsh tragedy.
