Founder and CEO
iSight eyecare and surgery

This teachers day let’s speak about Dr Nikhil Nasta
He has been an asst professor in Dept of ophthalmology KJSomaiya Medical College Mumbai for seven years
During this tenure he has taught many undergraduate and postgraduate students, set papers, been an examiner and paper corrector also.
His youthful approach to teaching and the way he connects with the students are his USP.
He pushes the students to do better and better and explains the concepts in a very simplistic language that makes it clear to each and every one of the students. In fact he stresses more on the weaker pupils so they too feel confident about the subject, as ophthalmology is a complicated course.
Besides this he has also down surgical skills transfer to the PG students. He has taught so many of them steps of eye surgery and literally hand held them through the process.
Dr Nikhil Nasta, after quitting the post at Somaiya, continued his passion for teaching. He took lectures for NEET and PG entrance students, in MCQ formats, across the length and breadth of India, as a travelling faculty for a leading coaching class.
This covered cities like Jalandhar and Meerut in the north, Delhi and Gurgaon in the centre, Hyderabad and karim nagar in the south to make a few.
To further his reach he shifted to an online module and pre recorded a series of lectures for viewing online. These are available on the net for students to visit over and over again.
He is still connected with students via social media and Twitter, and answers any and every query that comes his way.
Of late, he’s been speaking at various conferences, state, national and international and has helped organize an ophthalmic conference in 2017 as he was the secretary of the bombay ophthalmologists association, that year.
Currently he’s been conducting zoom sessions as a part of the association.
Other than ophthalmology, he has a wide viewership for his YouTube channel which has educative patient informs and explainer videos for eyecare.
In covid times, he has helped spread awareness and educated many on the correct way to prevent corona virus, by posting videos on this topic , so many of which have gone viral.
He’s been hosting insta live sessions to encourage positive thinking, elder care and coping skills for the general public.
