Rajasthan Press Club Elections Senior journalist Kumar Mahadev Vyas elected president.



Mumbai. The Rajasthan Press Club, the only representative body of Rajasthani expatriate journalists in the city, held its Ordinary General Meeting at Hotel Adarsh Palace. Following the completion of the current executive committee's term, senior journalist Kumar Mahadev Vyas was elected president in the elections conducted under the supervision of Ritu Sodhi, Assistant Director in Charge of the Rajasthan Information Centre, Mumbai, and Jagdish Purohit, Founder and Election Officer. Vyas Rawal was elected as Executive President, Lalit Shakti as Secretary, Ramesh Kabra as Treasurer, Harish Rajawat as Joint Secretary, Rahul Pareek, Jitendra Singh Rathore, Suresh Bhansali, Jyoti Munaut, Manish Paliwal, and Mrs. Vidya Uttam Shah were unanimously elected as executive members.

In his welcome address at the Annual General Meeting, President Kanhaiyalal Khandelwal outlined the concept and objectives of the Rajasthan Press Club. Secretary Vyas Kumar Rawal provided an overview of the activities of the three-year term. Treasurer Dineshwar Mali presented the annual income and expenditure details, which were unanimously approved.

Former President Neeraj Dave stated that the mutual cordiality and positivity of Rajasthan's expatriate journalists in this metropolis is a positive sign of social harmony. In his address, senior media expert Niranjan Parihar discussed the policies and activities of the journalist association. In-charge of the Rajasthan Information Center and Associate Commissioner Ritu Sodhi appealed to journalists for their contribution in disseminating the Rajasthan government's development plans to expatriate Rajasthanis.

Newly elected President Kumar Mahadev Vyas expressed confidence in his address that with the support of all colleagues, the Press Club will continue to progress. The general meeting began with the recitation of the Gayatri Mantra, followed by a two-minute silence to pay tribute to the late leader of the Rajasthani expatriate community, Raj K. Purohit, and to recognize his contributions to the expatriate community.
