MAHASEVA were receiving many queries from office bearers of housing societies related to home delivery of news papers on opening of the economic activities. Considering the demand made by number of societies and readers, the Government of Maharashtra vide its amended order dated 4th June, 2020 has allowed the home delivery of news papers by following the guidelines of wearing the mask, use of hand sanitizer and by maintain the social distance. It very vital to note that in the era of digital information, it has always been a challenge to get the authentic information and update.
During the challenging time of COVID 19 and National Lockdown implemented by the Government of India and all the State Government too much of unauthentic information on all social media were leading to unnecessary rumors & panic among the citizens. The newspaper therefore ensures that correct information reaches to all readers and public at large in a relevant and balanced manner.
Newspaper can act as a link between the government and people which has calibrated information. Many readers comfortable with printed news paper. Thus it has become a very important for them to get authentic news, articles and spend the quality time.
This is certainly a welcome decision of the Maharashtra Government. The Maharashtra Welfare Association on behalf of all the Cooperative Housing Society welcome this decision. MAHASEVA have already issued the guidelines to 60,000 cooperative housing societies and office bearers to permit the home delivery of news papers effective from 7th June, 2020 by following necessary guidelines like wearing the mask, use of hand sanitizer and maintaining social distance by the delivery person.
